My nephew, Tate, might not like me too much now, but I love and adore the kid. Even when he's throwing a fit or yelling at me, Tate easily amuses and entertains me. I love watching him play with his cousins because he has such a good time rough housing with them. I love watching that kid smile and laugh.

My nephew, Cole, melts my heart even during the first couple of years when he didn't like anyone but his mother. I love watching the kid change from being shy and quiet to being loud, talkative, and informative. He's an adorable kid, and I love watching him grow up.

I love playing two games with Gavin: Blockus and Connect Four. Win or lose, he's a good sport. He's full of energy and optimism, plus he has a big heart. The kid never fails to make me smile or laugh whenever I see him.

My nephew, Ethan, probably doesn't realize how old and ancient I feel whenever I see him. He's a great nephew who has given me many memories that make me smile. The top two memories: one day spent with just me and him (no one else) when he was 2 or 3 and my sisters and I rummaging through his parade candy bag while leaving him outside. He still turned out to be a good kid -- no harm done.

And you know what? I don’t feel too bad about the lack of quality posts. My sister, Krissy, hasn’t updated her blog since Nov. 30, and Becky posted something about chickens and eggs. Anyway, I’ve been a bit busy — and tired. So tired and busy that I’m not able to fully complete the 30-Day Positive Challenge. Although I wisely future-dated some positive challenge posts throughout the month, and I will leave those be.

I have a mental list of all the things (just menial stuff nothing really important) I want to do before the end of the year, and I feel I’ve accomplished nothing. I’m almost done with my own Doctor Who scarf. Hopefully, the weekend will help me complete that. With that said, I’m taking a small hiatus from my blog. I’m not stressed or anything so don’t worry.    At this time, blogging isn’t my priority, and I kind of want to complete some menial tasks before the end of the year. I’ll try to be back as soon as I can because I don’t want to lose all five to 10 of my readers. 

I am grateful for the little girl in the picture -- no not me. My beautiful niece, Tova, who makes me smile and laugh every time I see her. She's the light of her parents' eyes -- most of the time. And she has added so much joy and happiness to the family. I love that girl so much.
